This culminating event served not only as a recognition of the trainees’ dedication but also as a celebration of their readiness to enter the world of freelancing and remote work, fully equipped with relevant and in-demand skills. It also stood as a testament to the success of the DICT’s ongoing efforts to bring digital literacy and employment opportunities to every region of the Philippines.

Recognizing the Graduates’ Journey

The seminar marked the conclusion of an intensive 20-day training program, blending face-to-face learning and online campaigns. Graduates were trained in essential tasks expected of virtual assistants, such as administrative support, email handling, social media management, research, and content planning. The program was not just a learning experience but a comprehensive introduction to the realities and responsibilities of the freelancing world.

Each graduate proudly received a Certificate of Completion, and medals were awarded to those who demonstrated exceptional performance throughout the training. Some of the medalists were invited to speak and share their testimonials, offering a heartfelt look into the transformative journey they experienced—both professionally and personally.

Their stories reflected the value of the training not just as a technical seminar, but as a life-changing experience that helped them discover their potential and gain confidence in pursuing online careers.

Trainer’s Message and Impact

A key part of the program’s success was the leadership and dedication of Mr. Alvin John Ferias, the SPARK trainer. He delivered a motivational message to the graduates, emphasizing the importance of perseverance, consistency, and continuous learning in the freelancing industry.

Throughout the seminar, Mr. Ferias shared his knowledge and experience in digital work, guiding trainees through practical applications and real-world strategies. The event also included messages of encouragement from partner organizations and private stakeholders, who played a vital role in providing resources and opportunities during the training. Their involvement showed how collaboration between public and private sectors can amplify the impact of digital literacy programs.

A Vision for the Future

In his closing remarks, Engr. Marvin Bejasa congratulated the graduates and acknowledged their dedication and discipline throughout the training period. He encouraged them to take this accomplishment as a launching point for greater success and reminded them that their efforts are part of a larger vision—to build a digitally empowered nation.
