Malabanan siphoning website case study showing the revamped homepage on desktop and mobile

This Malabanan siphoning website case study shows how my team at To and Fro Digital Marketing Solutions rebuilt malabanansiphoning.com.ph for JA Torres Malabanan Siphoning — a 24/7 septic tank siphoning, declogging and plumbing company based in Caloocan, Metro Manila.

The goal was simple: when someone in the Philippines searches for siphoning or a clogged drain at 11 p.m., they should find JA Torres, trust them, and call within seconds. The new website was planned around that moment, with SEO built into the structure from the start instead of added later.

Quick Answer: What Did the Revamp Include?

The Malabanan siphoning website revamp included:

  1. A new WordPress and Elementor website designed mobile-first for emergency callers
  2. Nine dedicated service pages, one for each service the company offers
  3. Location pages for 48 cities and provinces across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao
  4. A conversion-focused homepage with click-to-call, Viber, Messenger and free-quote buttons
  5. Trust pages: client reviews, a job photo gallery and a “Verify Us” page against fake Malabanan listings
  6. On-page and local SEO: keyword-focused titles, bilingual Filipino-English copy, FAQs and Google review integration

In the Philippines, “Malabanan” has become a household word for septic tank siphoning. That’s a gift and a problem. Customers search for the name, but many different companies use it, so a business has to prove it’s the real, legitimate provider the customer is looking for.

The Challenge

Beyond the old site, the business faced three problems common to home service companies:

  • Emergency intent. People searching for siphoning or declogging usually have an overflowing septic tank or a blocked drain right now. If the site is slow or the phone number is hard to find, they call a competitor.
  • A crowded brand name. With many “Malabanan” listings online, customers needed a reason to trust this specific company.
  • Wide coverage, little visibility. The company serves 48 cities and provinces, but a single homepage can’t rank in Caloocan, Iloilo and Tacloban at the same time.

Our job was to build a site that converts emergency visitors fast and gives Google a clear page to rank for every service and every area.

The Website Revamp

We planned the sitemap before designing a single page. Every service and every location got its own URL, so each one can rank on its own.

Section Pages Purpose
Homepage 1 Brand, emergency CTA, overview of services and areas
Services 9 One page per service, from septic tank siphoning to preventive maintenance
Areas We Cover 48 One page per city or province, grouped by region
Trust 3 About Us, Job Photo Gallery, Verify Us
Reviews 1 Client feedback and Google reviews
Blogs 1 hub Room for helpful articles that support service pages
Contact + legal 4 Contact, Terms, Privacy, Cookie Policy

The nine service pages are Wastewater Draining, Manual Drain Cleaning, Pipe Declogging, Septic Tank Siphoning, Septic Tank Cleaning, Septic Tank Construction, Pipe Installation, Plumbing Repair and Preventive Maintenance.

The area pages are grouped into four regions — Metro Manila (17), North and Central Luzon (17), South Luzon and Islands (8), and Visayas and Mindanao (6) — so visitors and search engines can browse coverage easily.

This is the same thinking I explain in building websites for both users and search engines.

2. Mobile-First Design for Emergency Callers

Most customers reach a siphoning company from their phone, often while dealing with a problem at home. The design reflects that.

  • The H1 says exactly what the business does: professional septic and plumbing services with 24/7 rapid response.
  • The main phone line, 0995-357-0018, is visible and tappable, with five more Globe, Smart and TNT numbers listed.
  • A floating bar keeps Viber, Messenger and Free Quote buttons one tap away on every page.
  • A three-step process — call or message, free assessment and fixed quote, fast clean service — shows customers what happens next.

3. Trust Signals for a Crowded Brand Name

Because many companies use the Malabanan name, trust had to be designed in, not assumed.

  • Verify Us page so customers can confirm they’re dealing with the official JA Torres Malabanan team
  • Job Photo Gallery with real work photos instead of stock images
  • Google reviews pulled into the site, plus a direct “Review Us on Google” link
  • Clear promises: free on-site assessment, fixed quotation and no hidden charges
  • A short video showing the team at work

Customers don’t only type “septic tank siphoning.” They search “higop pozo negro,” “sipsip poso negro” or “baradong tubo.” The copy mixes English and Filipino naturally — for example, the closing section asks “May problema sa septic tank o baradong tubo?” — so the site matches the real words people use.

5. Speed and Technical Setup

  • Built on WordPress with Elementor for easy updates by the client
  • Google Fonts loading disabled and font-display set to swap for faster text rendering
  • Indexing directives set to allow full snippets and large image previews in search
  • Open Graph and Twitter card tags so shared links look clean on Facebook and Messenger
  • Cookie consent banner with “Reject non-essential” option for privacy compliance

The SEO Work

A new design only pays off if people can find it. Here’s the SEO work behind the Malabanan Siphoning website.

Keyword Research Around Real Customer Searches

We grouped keywords by service and by place, using the approach from my guide to local keyword research.

Keyword group Example searches Target page
Brand + service Malabanan siphoning, Malabanan declogging Homepage
Service septic tank siphoning, pipe declogging, drain cleaning Service pages
Service + location Malabanan siphoning Caloocan, siphoning Iloilo Area pages
Filipino terms higop pozo negro, sipsip poso negro, baradong tubo Homepage and service pages
Emergency 24/7 siphoning, emergency declogging Homepage, contact

On-Page SEO

  • Title tag: “Malabanan Siphoning & Declogging Services | JA Torres” — brand keyword first, business name last
  • Meta description naming the three core services: septic tank siphoning, pipe declogging and drain cleaning
  • Clear heading structure from the H1 down to sections on services, process, trust, reviews, coverage and FAQs
  • Descriptive URLs such as /services/septic-tank-siphoning/ and /services/pipe-declogging/
  • Internal links from the homepage to every service and to the full Areas We Cover page

Local SEO for 48 Service Areas

Local SEO is where siphoning and plumbing companies win or lose. We covered the basics I outline in my guide to local SEO in Manila.

  • Complete NAP on the site: Blk 5, Bankers Village, 10 M Victoria St, Barangay 167, Caloocan, Metro Manila 1426, plus all phone numbers
  • City and province pages with consistent URL patterns, such as /malabanan-services-[city]/ for Metro Manila
  • Regional grouping so coverage is easy to crawl and browse
  • Google reviews displayed on-site and a direct review link to grow review volume

Content That Answers Questions

The homepage includes a Frequently Asked Questions section, which helps with long-tail searches and gives Google and AI assistants short, direct answers to quote. The Blogs hub is in place for future articles on topics customers actually ask about — how often to siphon a septic tank, signs of a full tank, and what to do about a clogged drain.

AI Search Visibility (AIO and GEO)

More customers now ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Google AI Overviews “who can siphon my septic tank in Caloocan?” To be cited, a business needs consistent facts and clear answers. My AI SEO guide covers this in depth.

  • One consistent business name, address and set of phone numbers across the site
  • Answer-first FAQ content
  • A Verify Us page that makes the official entity clear
  • Facebook, YouTube and Messenger profiles linked from the site as supporting signals

What’s Next for the Site

SEO doesn’t stop at launch. The next phase focuses on:

  • LocalBusiness and Service schema so Google and AI tools read the business details as structured data
  • Regular blog posts answering common septic tank and drain questions
  • Richer area pages with local job photos and area-specific FAQs
  • More Google reviews through a simple after-service review request

Lessons for Home Service Businesses

If you run a siphoning, plumbing, aircon, pest control or cleaning business, these lessons apply to you too.

  1. Design for the emergency caller. The phone number and Viber button matter more than any animation.
  2. Give every service its own page. One “Services” page can’t rank for nine different searches.
  3. Give every area its own page — and make it useful. Real local details beat a copied page with the city name swapped.
  4. Prove you’re legitimate. A Verify Us page, real photos and Google reviews win the call when competitors look the same.
  5. Write the way customers talk. Filipino and Taglish terms like “higop” and “baradong tubo” are real search terms.
  6. Plan SEO before design. It’s far cheaper than fixing it later — see why SEO should start from day one.
